Multiplayer Communication

Face it; you can't talk while you're fighting.

There are always numerous occasions where we wish we can telepathically tell our teammate exactly where an enemy base is, or that we're being rushed at this certain location. But where words fail, taunts prevail.

In other words, you're talking to your partner using taunts. Here's how it works:

  • To say where an enemy is, you can flare the location and send "16" (Enemy sighted!).
  • To say where a certain building is, send a flare along with a message saying which color/player and the building: ex. "blue dock" or "john_doe castle".
  • To say that you're being rushed, you can send a flare at the location and "12" (Ack! Being rushed!).
  • When your ally is accidentally hurting your units, launch a flare and send "15" (Doint point that thing at me!) or "22" (Quit touching me!).
  • When attacking another player, send a flare at the location of the attack and send "10" (I'll beat you back to Age of Empires!). This will tell your partner that you're attacking the other player at the flare.
  • To coordinate an attack against an enemy at a certain time, hit F11 (Time Elapsed) and tell your partner when to attack by using a flare + "10" + (The Time of Attack). As bkk and I come up with more ways to communicate I will post them.
